Pyral shook her head as the dragon collapsed, the anger gone and replaced with a sort of grim sadness. Reaching down one firey claw, she lifted the nightmare visions from the small mortal body. She needed no more. The visions would haunt her for, possibly, the rest of her life. Day and night. In her dreams, in her memories...That was the full enormity of what the goddess had bestowed upon her. A lifetime of knowing that she had affected more lives than she had taken...And not in a good way.
Remember, Tala. And learn...
Pyral took the dark orb in between her claws and crushed it, grimacing slightly as whimpering tendrils of black smoke escaped, dissipating quickly with moans and sobs. She pressed down until it was a small black object that glittered with teardrops, sobbing and screaming. It was a thing of misery, and she had no wish to keep it nearby. Keep it, yes. But keep it nearby, no.
She placed it high in the sky, a dark and sad star that would shine until the day of it's creators death. Tala's death. It was a painful thing, but life comes in equal doses of happiness and hurt. Tala would have to learn both...

Tala stirred, a dark gloom slowly disappearing from her mind. Her spiked tail lashed the air and she stood, testing her strengh and balance. She glared up at the evening sky, and noticed an indigo star, glittering with silver. She shook her head and without saying a word, flew off into the night, delicate wings flapping strongly. She left the cave, it's inhabitants and what had happened, far behind.

Smoak watched as the female flew away, knowing this would not be the last time they saw each other. Looking up into the now dark sky, he watched the stars for a few minutes before saying to them softly I know, Pyral. I know. Without giving further meaning to what he meant, the great black dragon spread his wings and flew of, tail flicking every few minutes to keep him in the same direction. He was flying home.
