Smoak was taken back. A whole clan of Pyrahyc Dragons? the dragon thought. No doubt once Pyral leaves she will see into it. Wonder why she hadn't reacted before? And now that this little bit comes to mind, the name Tala seems to get more familiar. I must look into it. Smoak straightened his shoulders.
"I haven't heard of that incident until now. How did you come by it?" Maybe what this dragoness says could help.

Pyral nodded, Smoak's reaction not surprising - After all, it was nearly exactly the way she felt.
"How indeed. With incidents like this, don't the security drakes usually keep things dead quiet? Isolate the area, cut out flapping tongues..." She frowned. "Do you work with Py Security?" She didn't look like an official...Not at all.
OOC: Bleh...That post kinda...stank...

Smoak shifted his weight, agreeing with the goddess/mortal. When he was much younger, he had thought about joining the security. No doubt they could have used him. But then he would only be another drake in a badge, flying around doing just about nothing. That wasn not the way he wanted to live. "I do belive they do, Fyrah."
ooc- not much more we can say until Tala gets back here...

((Sorry! I'll post now!)) "No, I don't work in Py Security. I was one of the distant relatives of the clan. My mother was the cousin of one of the dragons. I was visiting the region when I heard about it. The stench of blood could be sensed many miles away. Py Security told me what happened, since I was a relative. They said it looked worse than just a Pyro Dragon in a frenzy. The killer had made sure not to leave any hints of who had done it." She finished and waited to see their reactions.

There was something steamy about her story. It all fit tigether too well.... and suddenly he had it. This was the killer! She had killed all of them. But, careful not to show any emotion on his revelation, he nodded. "Makes sense.... I wasn't in the area at the time, though.. no way to check your alibi...." He paused. "But I did know someone over there... a male named Tarthac. He mentioned a cousin somewhere back there.. Maybe you're it." He shrugged. "Who knows."
Of course Tarthac wasn't real. But maybe, just maybe the name hit a bell, and would make her nervous. Who knew? Smoak's luck may have just run out.

((I know it's weird, but I want her to be revealed."
"Hmm, I've never heard of Tarthac. Maybe he's a newcomer." Inwardly, Tala was fuming. Smoak had probably figured it out, and would report her to Py Security before she could escape. Frustrated, she turned to sharpen her tail-spike on a rock. ((Ack! Short post! Sorry! Brain-dead))

Smoak blew a fast ball of smoke at the spike. "I would not do that, if I were you, Tala." He pread his wings and soared down, landing next to her. "Tala... the Killer." His oragne eyes became slits as he focused on the dragoness. "I would not make a move. One- I am here. Two- once Pyral finds out, you will probably die a short and painful death." HE flicked a gaze over to Fyrah. "So... please lower the tail and the claws. Now." He said the last word forcefully.

Tala glared at him. "Did it not occur to you that it is odd that a Pyrahyc dragon would kill it's own kind?" She spat the words out, but obeyed and lowered her tail. Her gaze spat hatred, but she made no move to hurt Smoak.

Pyral could feel herself slowly burning, from the inside out, as a growing anger was sparked on the dry wood of her mind by the horrific revelation: This was the killer, the one who had stolen life that Pyral and her sister-like friend, Kordymi, had created and granted to the world. She had stolen it! Taken it and completely mutilated it! Disregarded it! The thought was so disgusing, so unbelieveable, she could feel her entire body shuddering. This mortal body could not hold the wrath of a goddess, and she felt its borders slowly breaking, snapping beneath the pressure of a titan rage...If she could not escape it, it would completely collapse, and the broken body would fall empty. Such things could not be allowed to happen around mortals.
Her voice quivered, but between her teeth she managed to gasp out a few words. "I...must...go..." She winced as the small cranium seemed suddenly smaller, focusing her remaining energy on dropping out of sight. She could see a cave underneath a nearby overhang, and by the geographical look of it, it probably hand another entrance. Trying to use minimal energy and top speed, she dived for it, slipping into the darkness inside of it. However, she negelected to account for large stones when making a dive.
There was loud thump, and for a second, nothing...Then a pain so intense she could almost feel shards of her skull falling to the ground. I've got to get out of here. She didn't need to think it twice. There was a nausiating spinning, then all the pain left her - but the anger didn't.
She barely remembered to remove the empty model before she was crafting her vengence, her firey breath steaming over Smoak and Tala as she leaned closer. Her eyes of white fire were narrowed, and her lips were pulled into a snarl. In her mind, the words of the Black Dragon plaed themselves out. 'Once Pyral finds out, you will probably die a short and painful death.' Pyral's mouth twisted into a grin. A rather morbid, bloodthirsty grin. Short and painful? No. I don't think so. She will feel the loss of the lives she took, and the sorrow and agony that their murders created...Then, I'll let her decide. Does she still want to live?
The lives of the departed were the business of Hycroun, but the minds of the living were hers for the taking...
OOC: I'll finish this later. Sorry guys! Just...Work off of it if you can.

Smoak nodded and said "Thank you. I'm not the who should be hurting you, though. I'm pretty sure that will come soon. Me, I'm just here to hold you, make it easier for the Punisher." He glanced over to where Fyrah had been. "And my guess is, it won't be too long from now." He looked back over at Tala. "I'd be ready. But what you're about to have happen, no one would be ready."
ooc- do they feel the breath?

Tala glanced upward nervously, expecting the wrath of Pyral to come down on her at any second. She knew it wouldn't be long, fate could not be escaped and she would probably wouldn't die until a century later. Pyral hated dragons that took other creatures' lives and would punish them until they begged for death. She shivered and curled her tail around her body, spreading her wings so they covered most of her body. It was a hatchling's pose, a hatchling scared of a story of Hycroun and Pyral. Tala was ashamed that she appeared so helpless, but it was an instinct. She held her breath and closed her eyes, whispering a prayer, waiting for Pyral's wrath.

OOC: No, you don't feel it. BIC:
Pyrals wrath was certainly one not to be underestimated.
Looking closely at the invisible energies that covered Pyrallis, she located and gathered into her claws threads of pain, sorrow, and loss that originated from the bloodbath, twisting them together into a thick orb of pure anguish, small in size, but in no way insignificant. She held it in her firey claws, listening to the cries of pain and feeling the cold ice of tears soak into her paw. She stared at it for a moment, knowing that it would cause the worst sort of pain for the murderer, Tala: The pain of irreversable regret.
Brace yourself, mortal...Not that it will help you. Leaning down, careful not to let it touch Smoak, she cast the crying, screaming orb at Tala, her expression grim. This was a punishment of such severity it was entirely possible that the dragoness would either kill herself or avoid commiting evils for the rest of her life. This was a punishment Pyral would not relish in dealing...But every crime had to have an equal retaliation. This was the cost of taking so much. In return, she would feel what every other Pyrallian had felt when they saw the scene, or heard the news. All of the pain that she had caused had been dropped upon her in full.
This is the price you must pay, Tala. Perhaps you will learn that life is not yours for that taking.

Tala recoiled as suddenly a great wave of anguish swept over her. She no longer could see Smoak in front of her, but only her clan's bodies littered on the ground, their blood staining the rocks red. Another image passed before her eyes, of a hatchling, curled up in the cold embrace of it's mother, not knowing that it's mother would never see it again. Millions of tragic scenes passed before her eyes, all lingering and torturing her. She could hardly bear the pain of so many for so long... Finally, the waves of images ended and Tala collapsed on the floor. ((Should she go mad?))

Smoak, his face emotionless and his orange eyes fixed on Tala, slowly backed away. He had no idea what pain and anguish she was experiencing, and he had no wish to know. She had undoubtedly deserved it. But did she need that much? Enough to keep her in pain, but enough to make her pass out? She could feel nothing in that state. But then, he was no god, and had no power nor right to think of such matters.
