ooc- just so you know..........*glares at everyone, especially Pyral* I have modified my post, and I would appreciate it if this didn't turn into a chat thread, seeing as it is NOT in the chat category. I haven't been on in a while because of school, and because my mom would not let me online until I cleaned out my closet, which, because of school, took me three weeks. *is angry throughout all of this*

Gaelen was slightly surprised at her question, and also the statement before it. He didn't show this surprise though, and paused for a few seconds. After shifting position again to that he was mostly facing the smaller dragon, Gaelen spoke in answer. "That depends on what you call a hobby." he said, spreading his wings just a little bit more to catch some more of the sun. "I spend much of my time creating mazes." he finished, pausing for a few seconds. "You said that you came here because you heard of me?" This question was more of a 'why did you come here?' sort of question than anything else.

Menzatyl nodded when Gaelen mentioned that he created mazes. "Yes. I was passing through and a Bronze-Gold in the Lair Keeping business mentioned you when I...in short: he was trying to sell me a cave, I said no, he mentioned you, I became interested." She was a bit embarrassed. She always knew she had a tendency to go off on tangants, but this was ridiculous. Why would he care about a Lair Keeper?!?!

OOC: *coughs* They don't have categorizing terms in Pyrallis. 'Real estate' is a human thing. Here they have 'lair keepers.' Oskay? Cool.

ooc- Here comes the Black Dragon!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
bic- It was a beautiful day. If there were any birds, they would no doubt be singing. The sun shone a bright yellow, enveloping the grass and hills with a soft light. If Smoak had been a book-'man', he would have curled up promptly with a large book and stayed there the entire day. But, alas, he was almost the exact opposite. He would rather get into a good fight some days than be stuck inside.
The black drake soared up in a warm draft, letting the sky carry him where it would. He felt good. The strange thing was, he had no reason to. He had just found out that the same dragon that had killed his father was now after him, and that his mother was still alive, but held captive against her will. Maybe the fact she was still alive was a good thing, but that was still out-wayed by the others. Not to mention that he had just let go the messenger that had come to kill him. Why was he happy?
Smoak just shrugged off the questions popping inside his head like the fabled 'firecrackers' that he had heard so much of when he was just a little tyke. 'firecrackers' were coupled with 'humans' and 'animals'. Now some of those words were used to describe vulgar and inapropriete behavior. Looking down below him, he caught a flicker of movement. Eyes focused on the spot, he twisted down in an acrobatic curl, diving towards the spot.
ooc- The... uh.. book-'man' thing was supposed to be like the bookworm that we use now... yeah... if you didn't know... heh..

"Yes. I was passing through and a Bronze-Gold in the Lair Keeping business mentioned you when I...in short: he was trying to sell me a cave, I said no, he mentioned you, I became interested."
Gaelen listened in silence as Menzatyl spoke, slightly surprised to hear that he was known for something other than staying out here in the wilderness all the time... Well, that and his previous love of battle. But he wasn't known for that here. That was half the reason he came to Pyc, or near Pyc, anyway.
"He mentioned me?" Gaelen repeated, his tone lightly curious. "What did he say?" Gaelen was curious because he had never yet actually excavated a maze. Made the patterns in fields, that he had done, but he had never actually excavated a maze so large as to be made into a lair of any kind. In a way, it was rather flattering that he was known for this, in other ways it was a bit disturbing(though only to him) because that meant that more dragons came out here than he was aware of.
Gaelen never noticed the black dragon spiralling down towards them from out of the sky. His eye was trained on Menzatyl, and since the Black was approaching from his left, Gaelen couldn't see him.

Smoak pulled up short when he realized that one of the drakes was the fae who's brother had tried to attack him earlier. Should he pop by? And who was the larger drake beside her? He looked familiar, slightly. But fom where? Shrugging, he continued his dive and landed beside the male drake.
"Mind if I pop by?"

Something stirred beneath the ground.
Voices...
A feather that challenged the sky in its softness fell delicately onto the dry earth, stark against the dark ground that hadn't seen daylight in an age. Each part of it was covered in near-invisible down, held together by interlinking parts of mesh impossible to see with the naked eye.
Voices...
Eyes, sharp and hollow at once, turned to look cautiously up the tunnel beside that body in which they were placed, each dark pupil shrinking as the shadowed light hit it. To eyes accustomed only to the brightness of moonlight, even the shadows of day were painful to look upon.
Voices...
Talons rose, moving backwards with a feathered foot and touching the ground with the same amount of sound as the sun made as it set. The body to which they were attached moved slowly backwards, only stopping when the end of the feathered tail was the thickness of a hair from the dirt wall.
Voices...
An angular head turned away, burying itself beneath delicate wings as the mind inside of it accepted it could not go out in the daylight. Brightness and heat and agony were all that waited outside during the day - Heat and fire. And dragons...
Voices...

"Smoak! What are you doing here?" Menzatyl was surprised to see the black drake that her elder brother, Kolschni, had attacked. She turned to him and looked him in the eye. "Have you seen Kolschni since he attacked you? I saw him go into some sort of tunnel, but I don't know where it leads...."

Smoak looked at her and almost laughed. "I haven't seen that little thing since he hit the ground. Who knows where he is now...." Black shoulders shrugged. "I really don't care. But beyond that, what are you doing here?" He turned to the drake he sat beside. "And who are you?"
