Golden Dragons[/b]
One of the rarest species, the Golden Dragons are beautiful and sleek creatures. Though by line they are frail and tend to be smaller than average (10-28 feet), they are excellent flyer's with stunning aerodynamics. Large-winged and light weight, their hollow bones make the air their best environment. As the name suggests, Golden Dragons scales are the rich, yellow color of the precious metal they are named after, though there is often a different hue due to interbreeding. They do breathe fire, but for short periods of time (1-5 minutes) and weakly, preferring to spit small fireballs than provide a steady stream of flame. These dragons have unending patience and always have a kind, gentle attitude to-wards others, though unfortunately there are currently no known Golden Dragons of a pure line.

Bronze Dragons[/b]
This is probably one of the most powerful kinds of dragon. Made for strength, their build is a sturdy one, with large, filled bones and a muscular body. This is the largest breed, the adults measuring anywhere between 50 and 70 feet in length. Their thick scales are incredibly difficult to get through, making a bronze dragon a difficult foe to defeat. But though they are accomplished on the ground, these dragons are failures at flying, unable to keep themselves aloft for more than twenty minutes. Their coloring can range anywhere between a light copper to a dark bronze, though their scales are dull in comparison with those of the other dragons. Much like the Golden Dragons, though, their temper is a challenge to excite, and even then they calm down quickly. As far as fire-breathing goes, they are a bit above average, able to go on semi-strong for some thirty minutes before wearing out.
Pyro (red) Dragons[/b]
These hot-headed creatures are as destructive as fire, blasting obstacles whether they are dead or alive with a white-hot inferno. Lithe and fast, at 30 to 40 feet long they aren't the best on the ground, but when flying they are a force to be reckoned with. Well-clawed and fanged, their mouths are often blackened from smoke and their bodies from ash, though by breathing fire on themselves they can scour the grime from their scales. Quick to anger and slow to forgive, their violent temper is a dangerous thing to invoke, and it may take anywhere between days and weeks to cool down. Their bones are semi-hollow, allowing then better lift in flight but making then easier to physically break. Not nearly as common as the bronze, Pyro Dragons make up about twenty-five percent of the draconic population.

Black Dragons[/b]
When war was at hand, these dragons were held in high regard. Their fighting abilities surpassed those of a bronze with equal stamina and excelled speed, though at an average of 50 feet long they weren't quite as large. Accurate and with incredible maneuvering, sharp turns and long distance attacks are a simple task for the Black dragon. This species is occasionally called 'royal' or 'ashen' due to the bizarre coloring and majestic ways of the race. Though their base coloring is generally black, they came in shades of dark grey and near-black colors. From a rich purple to a threatening scarlet, these dragons used to come in those shades in their darkest forms. However, their eyes mirror the coloring when it is light and bright. A spiked crest is a very distinguishing feature as well, running from the bridge of their eyes to little before the end of their tails. The rarer ones had slight webbing between their claws or tipping their tails, though unfortunately these ones were slaughtered due to their suspected connection to Hycroun. Accomplished in the air, they are still better on the ground, preferring the earth beneath their claws when fighting. Their tempers are fierce, but they have a remarkable ability to channel fury into a deadly attack, making them near-impossible to defeat.

Pyrahyc Dragons[/b]
These are the only dragons with no particular specialization by way of their species. Level and perfectly divided in every field of talent, they are usually shades a gentle orange. Smallish (25-35) with very little sheen on their scales, Pyrahyc are not particularly beautiful. However, there are two abilities these dragons have that no others posess: They can climb up steep surfaces without their claws, and can change their coloring (if only slightly). The first is because of rough folds of skin on the pads of their feet - they can hook onto any slight bump or imperfection on practically every surface. The second is because of chemical reactions beneath their skin that change their pigments, making them darker, lighter, or even a different texture depending on their mood. They are usually peace-makers, with gentle attitudes and an uncanny ability to quell the excitement of a fight.
Sand Dragons[/b]
Know for their sturdy, slow lifestyle, these dragons share a natural connection to the god Gyulim, and spend many hours worshiping him, Kordymi, and Pyral. They hardly ever mix with city folk, and when they do the religious sand dragons are often treated like priests. They - like the Pyrahyc - have few specializations. Sturdy and somewhat large at 35-55 feet in length, they are non-violent peace mongers. They vary from the soft yellow of the river sand to the rust red dirt of city streets. Their coloring is more varied than that of the other species. Blunt in both tooth and claw, they feed on the old or sick of the herbivores and let the young live. Though their claws are blunt, they are also large and prove to be useful for digging the cool, underground tunnels that this gentle race live in. There is a downside, however: Though skilled with earth, they have no wings and therefore cannot fly.
