(((--Because Pyrallis has become rather boring and is in need of a good villain, I have take it upon myself - at suggestion of Smoak - to create one. I hope she is as evil as we all want her to be. The end.--)))
Character Name: Laevythan
Species: Chycral Phoenix
Age: 331
Gender: Female
Description: Every feather is perfect, gently preened with a fine, ice-blue beak and tinted the color of the Pyrallian sky. Her crest, the edges of her wings, and her tail are all darker in color, smoother and more solid than some of the rest of her plumage. Her talons are the same color as her beak - as are her eyes - while her legs and underbelly are covered in a fine white down. Her pupils are the darkest parts of her body, both darker than the sky and deeper than space. Small and thin, her shoulder just hits three feet, though her neck extends a short ways upwards. Though light in coloring, she is surprisingly easy to loose in the darkness of night.
Personality: Cold and introverted, Laevythan prefers her own company. The presence of others annoys her in ways she cannot explain, though deeply loathes. She never shows any sign of emotion, even if her feelings are in turmoil, and speaks only when she has to – silence is something she deeply appreciates. Laevythan never takes action without a plan, and every plan she creates is expertly made and perfectly executed. Even amongst other Chycral’s she is considered unbelievably faultless and sharp – not one to anger, for sure. She is friendless by choice, and never associates with others unless out of necessity, which isn’t often.
Bio: Laevythan’s egg was laid deep in an underground nest dug into the Hyc River Bed. She was kept carefully incubated until the day she hatched, at which point she was led to a small pool even deeper beneath the ground…Her first taste of water, and the taste that her nest parents used to show her that Hycroun was the goddess to follow. She was always kept below ground until she was 11, and even then she was only let out after dark. Born and raised in shadow, she quickly came to discover light was not for her when, after a long night, the sun began to rise before she had returned to her nest. The colors in the sky were frightening and hurt her eyes. From that day forth, she was sure to be home before sunrise and never left before sunset. She stayed with her parents until she was 142, at which point she gave them parting gifts of new-grown leaves adorned with droplets of water (Rare prizes indeed) and left to dig her own nest. Every year she paid a call on them, but was shocked when she returned home to find another hatchling - A small Female. Finding herself now shunned by the pair that had raised her, Laevythan left for good, deciding then and there the world was a hollow thing, and befriending others was the same at letting down iron defenses and giving them soft flesh to injure, which, in the end, they always would.
Greatest Strength: Her spirit and mind. Laevythan is impossibly well protected mentally. She has no connections to other living beings, nor does she love any one or any thing. Her intelligence serves her well, oft getting her out of difficult situations or solving difficult problems.
Greatest Weakness: Her body. Physically she is weak, incapable of defending herself and easy to break. Though she is fast in the air, should anything happen to her wings she would be reduced to running across the ground, and there she would be easy prey.
Example of Roleplay:
“This is water.” A voice, soft and female, reached out of the darkness. It was blurred, as though a sound heard from behind thick glass…
“It is Hycrouns.” A voice, hard and male, pulled away at the darkness. It was muffled, as though a sound heard from behind thick glass…
“Hycroun is the goddess who will lead us to freedom.” Two voices, surreal and mixed, shattered the darkness. They were clear, as though sounds heard from behind feather thin ice…
Crystal eyes opened slowly, round pupils grew larger in the dark. A ruffle of feathers, a small stone rolling away as blue talons brushed it. A chiseled head raised up upon an elegant neck, turning slowly towards the opening of the underground nest, towards the tunnel that led outside. A soft wind plays against a sharp beak, tousling white feathers. A soft voice, musical in its sound.
“Hycroun is the goddess who will lead us to freedom...”
