A large black drake lumbered in, catching the eyes of many others. Not only because of his size or color, but his load. On his powerful back, there was a small, thin golden dragon. Wounded by a sudden storm, the large brute had found her before anything serious could be done. Now the problem was getting her to a doctor.

Pyral stirred and opened her eyes, regretting the action immediately. What a headache...She'd do better to leave and fix 'Fyrah' before continuing with this little farce. One of the things she especially hated was the fact that when in mortal form a god felt mortal pain. A trivial thing at best, but pain was still pain.
She opened her eyes again, wincing as a stab of pain shot through her head, but holding them open nonetheless. She stared in dismay at the large crouds, her jaw falling slightly open. She couldn't possibly leave now. Not only that, but without a doubt Smaok would notice. After all, her was carrying her through Pyrsh.
She glanced down to an area along her left foreleg, grimacing at the injury. It was still bleeding a bit, spilling a small degree of the hot, red substance down Smoaks scales. She saw whiteness where the bone had cracked and the blood-stained break had torn through her skin. Not pleasant, really, was it...
Moving slowly, she tried to push herself up, looking towards the Black Dragons head.
"I'm fairly sure I could walk if you we took it slowly." Her voice was a bit raspy, probably from lack of water. Though it was softer than usual, she managed fine as far as talking went.

[Man, this post sucks so bad. Sorry.]
Kordymi allowed herself a smile at the irony of a situation- Pyral herself, needing aide from a mortal! Of course, it wouldn't be so for long... Anyway. There would be time to laugh later, although it might be wise to do so out of Pyral's hearing.
What she needed was a mortal body. She didn't care what kind, although it would be nice to have something remarkable. Kordy sighed. Those days were over. A goddess had to stay incognito now. Just another thing that was ineffably frustrating about these times.
Oh, she didn't really mind mixing with the mortals, but being treated as one of her own creatures was awfully irritating. Maybe it would be best if she just went with possession. Much easier. Right, then. Eyes closed but still seeing, she looked into the filmy liquid of her watching mirror, so to speak, at the healers around the place, hoping to find one with strength to withstand possession... Ah. Good. A phoenix, a bit distant from Smoak and Pyral, but he would do. And with that, she poured herself down, down, down to the land, the town, into the constraints of the form...
Sleeping. Rehytion was having a particuarly nice dream, when suddenly the oddest feeling came over him, like waking up but really waking up, and it hurt so badly! And then he slipped out of conciousness completely... ...Kordymi opened her eyes, adjusting to the size of the room. Where was she? Pausing for an instant to get oriented, the goddess-turned-phoenix male flew out of the- into the door. D*mn! Forgot about walls and such. She readjusted herself and flew out of the room, heading towards where she could feel Pyral's strength, stopping only occasionally to curse out a passerby she had run into.

Smoak shook his head softly. "No, it's too far to the doc's, and if you move your leg, it will start bleeding again. It'd get really annoying if nats suddenly swarmed you, now wouldn't it?" He shifted his wings and continued, ignoring the crowds.

Nats? Hadn't she gotten rid of those? By the way he was talking apparently not...She shook her head and looked around, greatly peeved by the situation. She wasn't allowed to walk, she was surround by mortals with an inability to keep their dropping jaws shut, and therefore she couldn't leave. This would be the last time she went down to earth in a sandstorm...She snarled angrily at a dragonet that dared to stare at her too blatantly, her red eyes flashing and the scaled along her neck rising. The creature shreiked and ran off, vanishing from sight in a little cloud of rust-red dust. Pyral laughed softly and turned her head to look around Pyrsh a bit, taking in the new, cavernous buildings and noting the missing older ones. They must've begun to crumble. At the height and the number of levels some of the caves here reached, a wall or ceiling that was cracking could prove exeedingly dangerous to occupants. At least they notice potential hazards... she thought to herself, happy that they'd finally realized why so many of their kindred died in collapses.
She spat sparks at her sandy scales, cleaning them for lack of anything better to do. The shine had been clouded with dust, making her golden color seem more of a sandy brown. She couldn't go around looking like a sand dragon crossbreed...
"When we get there, I'm walking." She said defiantly, looking unhappily at her limb.

ooc- oooook..... I have no idea who Lizzy is, so I'll just... uh... be quiet!
bic- Smoak sighed. "Whatever, Fyrah." The small dragon was getting on his nerves, which was hard to do. If he hadn't seen Fyrah in the sandstorm, he would have been well away from here, and hunting, too. But the more he thought about it, the more he thought the storm wasn't natural. And the fact that he would have seen Fyrah following him if she was. Why had she suddenly appeared out of nowhere? It was all very strange to him. Something was going on around here, and it had to do with him and Fyrah.
"We're almost there. I haven't been here in so long, if I had known, we would have gone in the back way, which would have been much shorter..."

A bit short of breath (was this bloody mortal out of shape? Then why in Hell was he strong enough to be Possesed?) Rehytion/Kordymi dropped to the ground, breathing heavily and quite ignoring other creatures swarming around them. Kordymi gave a feeble flap of her wings, then groaned as fatigue settled in, filling her fiery bones with lead and extinguishing her drive into icy lethargy. No way was she going to move, not for Pyral, not for anyone. Nope. She would just sit her until-
"Hey! Brain for brains! Move outa the street!" A shoulder slammed into her side and catapulted her onto the sidewalk jarringly, though as she turned the pheonix's head, she saw only flashes of bronze bleeding quickly into the crowd. D_mn dragons. Who are they to think that they're Lords of bloody creation? Though it was in Kordy's brain, she quickly realized it was the pheonix's thought. Amused, she shook out her wings, and forced herself back into the air, this time channeling Rehytion's anger at all things draconian into energy, and shot forward until a hide of unmistakable black came into clear view.
"Hey!" Rehytion's voice called out at top volume, ragged with exhaustion. "Hey, you! Black dragon! You have my... my friend!"

Pyrals head snapped up at the voice, her attention drawn away from the wound. Friend? But who...Wait. Kordymi! What was she doing here? No matter. The goddess of Pyrallis's creature was here, and she could get her out of here. Oh, the relief. The greater goddess could escape from the mortals at long last! She'd been trapped in this refining form for too long...
Pyral shot a glance at Smoak, a cold discomfort slipping into her thoughts. If he didn't let her leave, she could be trapped here for days. Not a good thought...She shivered and lifted her wings, pumping them hard despite the tear in one.
"I'll just be going now. Thanks for your help but my...friend has found me." She winced at dust got into the ripped membrane, stopping her movements with a grimace.

Smoak shook his head, lowering his wings so she could get down. "Whatever, Fyrah, if that is your name." Right now he wasn't really keen on trusting anyone, least of all a drake that suddenly appeared in an unnatural storm. Once she was on the ground, he brought back his wings in a powerful backstroke and was off the ground, causing dust to fly everywhere in a cloud, covering his movements. There was something he didn't like about this town, and was eager to get out of it.
Without looking back, he look off into the darkening sky, his tail making minute movements, letting him make sharp turns as he decided on his direction. He needed to be alone, yet he wanted to watch the dragon and her 'friend' more. He dove to the ground and landed softly, raising very little dust. He ran along a low plateau, going into the back of the town. As he crept into the shadows, he realized that the townspeople were still marveling at him. These dragons are either really stupid, or really bored he thought.
Ignoring the crowds, he slipped b,y unnoticed by the crowds, to behind the pheonix, planning to watch the two. His eyes slitted, making them look like two thin rays of light. No one would notice him unless they were looking for him, and only the red drake would do that. Even then, only a very experienced dragon could find him, and only one had done that. He wasn't about to let that happen again.

Pyral turned away with a sigh of relief, glancing up at Kordymi where she hovered in the air.
"Thanks for coming and getting me." She nodded to the droves for draconics that were staring at her. "Let's get somewhere a little more quiet." Her voice was low, and she shot at meaningful glance at the other goddess. They had to go down a back alley or something, get out of view of the mortals. Then they could talk a bit before leaving this accursed mortal world.
Despite her broken limb, Pyral moved easily across the street, motioning for Kordymi to follow. It hurt, but she could forget about the pain. It wasn't really real, after all. Just some of what the body was feeling.
Not looking to see if the other was coming, she went behind a building to hide herself from view of the mortals. After a quick glance around, she stared hard at the break, watching with indifference at the bone shifted and merged and the flesh moved to cover it. It had taken half a minute to patch herself up, and the only trace of the injury was a faint red line along her scales. Not much, all in all.
She looked around again, then seated herself down on the ground. She had much to discuss with Kordymi. Of course, most of the talking would be done in celestial territory, but she had some things she had to talk about immediately...

Kordy took a deep breath, reminding herself that the pointless exhaustion was all in the stupid pheonix's mind, and forced wingbeat after wingbeat until she was in the alley, the sighed with relief as she let him crash to the floor. Out of sight, the townspeople were out of mind, and with a gentle blue glow, the pheonix's energy was restored. Stupid bird!
A hard push with the newly energized wings and she was face to face with the goddess of... everything. She gave a sigh of relief, and then she shook her head vigourously as if dislodging sand fleas. "Pyral. I really need to talk to you- I think she's up to something." Eyes clouded with worry, Kordymi plunged on at top speed, aware that she should be letting Pyral speak first, but needing to get it out. "For one thing, my pool's all but dried up." Almost the only water on celestial ground and, indeed, on Pyrallis, she needed it to watch over her creatures. "While I was asleep. Which I might add, has been for the /last/ fifty years." Come to think of it, the sleep could be just a trick by Byroun or someone, but Kordy's middle name was NOT common sense.

Pyral frowned, listening to the lesser goddess tentatively. Hycroun hadn't been breaking any rules, but she'd been stretching them badly. Her antics were beginning to the other gods on edge, and though there were no confirmations as yet, Pyral suspected that Hycroun had something to do with Kordymi's prolonged slumber.
"Kor, everyone knows she's been acting up lately, but we can't go pointing talons yet. We aren't sure about anything. We may never be. Either way - she's the only one who can refill your pool. I can put out the orders, but nothing more." Pyral sighed and continued. "I know that the gap has left you weaker than ever - many of the mortals have lost confidence - but it's a problem that can be fixed. All it's going to take is some hard work and a few miracles. I'll do whatever I can to assist you. After all," She cast Kordymi a reassuring smile. "I am the most powerful being Pyrallis has ever known." She nodded and stared placidly at the other. "Anything more?"
